Stackhouse QBO Connector Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 13, 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how The Stackhouse uses data accessed through the Stackhouse QBO Connector.

The connector is an internal tool used to connect The Stackhouse’s QuickBooks Online account to financial reporting, reconciliation, forecasting, and management analysis workflows.

Data We Access

After authorization, the connector may access QuickBooks Online accounting data such as company information, chart of accounts, reports, transactions, invoices, bills, expenses, payments, deposits, vendors, customers, items, tax details, account balances, and related bookkeeping records.

The exact data accessed depends on the reports or analysis being run and the permissions granted through QuickBooks Online.

How We Use Data

The Stackhouse uses QuickBooks data only for internal business purposes, including bookkeeping review, financial reporting, reconciliation, profitability analysis, cash flow planning, vendor and expense review, tax preparation support, and management decision-making.

The connector is not used to sell data, advertise to customers, or create unrelated consumer profiles.

Data Sharing

The Stackhouse does not sell QuickBooks data accessed through the connector.

Data may be shared only with trusted service providers or professional advisors who support The Stackhouse’s accounting, finance, operations, legal, tax, software, or technical workflows, and only as needed for those purposes.

Data may also be disclosed if required by law, regulation, legal process, or valid government request.

Data Storage and Security

The connector may store authentication tokens and limited extracted reporting data in secure local or business-controlled systems used by The Stackhouse.

The Stackhouse uses reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards to protect credentials and financial data from unauthorized access.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so The Stackhouse cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

QuickBooks data and related exports are retained only as long as needed for internal business, accounting, operational, tax, legal, or reporting purposes.

Credentials may be removed or rotated when no longer needed, when access is revoked, or as part of normal security maintenance.

Revoking Access

Access can be revoked through QuickBooks Online app settings or by contacting The Stackhouse.

After access is revoked, the connector will no longer be able to pull new QuickBooks Online data unless it is authorized again.

Questions about this Privacy Policy or data handled by the connector may be sent to support@thestackhouse.com.
