The choice is deeply personal, from the textured allure of canvas, perfect for a contemporary setting, to the classic vibes of photo prints; these printing formats will fit photographs of all types. It's best to consider aesthetics, durability, costs, and application when deciding what media works best for what purpose.

Giclee Canvas Prints

When selecting canvas prints, your image will be printed on our high-quality canvas with vibrant archival inks, which offer stunning color and detail. Ideal for custom framing and unique presentations, these prints are perfect for artists and photographers seeking to showcase their work with flexibility and style.

All our canvas products are printed on Epson's Exhibition Canvas Matte. We offer two laminations on canvas: Matte and Satin for UV and scratch protection. Extra finishing options include:

We recommend getting Satin on images with prevalent shadows and dark colors.

Our photo papers range from matte to high gloss:

  • Epson Metallic Glossy Photo Paper

When to choose which format?

Canvas prints are typically more expensive than photo prints. The canvas, woven media, and extra finishing options can add to the final price of the print. Depending on the product, our canvas prints can take up to a week longer to produce than photo prints due to the extra steps of laminating, mounting, or stretching.

Photo prints are a more traditional printing method with a larger selection of simplified finishing options at The Stackhouse. They can be printed with our Mini formatting, matted, or packaged individually. These options are nice for sharing and preserving photographs.

Canvas and photo loose prints are great for prefabricated frames. The canvas texture will still be visible through the frame's glass or plexiglass. Our standardized size selection fits many readily available frames.

If framing is not desired, our Gallery-Wrap Canvas might be a good option because it comes ready to hang on the wall! Its wrapped edges add depth to the room.
